3D Model Planet Earth - Part 1 - Blender 2.8

In this video tutorial, I will show you how to create Planet Earth using Blender 2.8.

Here are the concepts covered in this video tutorial:

Download planet earth maps
Create and edit UV sphere
Create material for planet earth map
UV unwrap sphere
Add additional UV sphere for clouds
Add sunlight
Change word colour settings
Add star background
Change background image emission

We will use a simple sphere to create the earth planet and also use a slightly larger sphere for the clouds.

We will download earth and cloud maps from the NASA website. We will also add a star background and add lighting to create a dark side effect on the planet model.
