In this video tutorial I will show you how to convert an AVI video to MP4 video using Handbrake.
MP4 (MPEG-4 Part 14) is a popular video format which can be used to stream video content over the Internet. AVI (Audio Video Interleave) is a video format created by Microsoft in 1992. This is an older video format and many videos are still encoded in this format. At DCP we have re-encoded all of our old AVI video tutorials into the more popular MP4 video format. This allows us to upload our videos to various streaming content providers such as YouTube or Vimeo. MP4 also has a better compression ratio reducing the overall file size but maintaining quality. In this tutorial I will show you how to use Handbrake and the settings required to convert an AVI video to MP4 video. Once you have completed your video conversion then why not add the video to your website or even better share it by uploading a video to YouTube.
