For those who don’t know, indexing is the listing of web pages by a search engine. If a web page isn’t indexed, it won’t come up in a web search. What are usually not indexed, are individual Tweets. Of course, knowing the value of social media in promoting a company and its products, it can be hugely valuable to a business when one of their Tweets is indexed. Not only does it give them another way of being found in web searches, but it also leads the searcher directly to a place where they have the opportunity to follow the business, and where they may see other Tweets of interest.
